Our fully sponsored, three-year programme
We are looking to recruit and develop the UK's next generation of seafarers, as part of our commitment to sustaining the communities in which we operate and shaping a better maritime future for all.
Our cadets undertake a fully sponsored cadetship programme that includes world-class training with many of the UK’s top nautical colleges and the opportunity to gain qualifications and sea experience on a variety of vessels for a career in the Anglo-Eastern fleet or beyond.
- Education at the UK’s leading Maritime colleges (including City of Glasgow College, Fleetwood Nautical Campus, Warsash Maritime School, South Shields Marine School)
- Full sponsorship and a competitive training allowance
- Experienced support and guidance both ashore and at sea
- International exposure via a ship management company with 29 locations worldwide
- Comprehensive three-year programme
The full programme covers five phases:
- Phase 1,3 & 5 is at college where cadets will learn the theory and skills needed for your chosen path.
- Phase 2 & 4 is at sea where cadets will use the skills learned at college and put them into practice onboard. Currently deck cadets need to obtain 12 Months at Sea, Engine Cadets 7 ½ Months split between phase 2 & 4.
Applicants should fulfil the following criteria:
- UK Passport Holder (due to Government Funding Requirements)
- Minimum of 4 National Fives or GCSE or Equivalent
- Aged 17 ½ years old at the Start of Training
- Able to pass an ENG 1 Medical (unrestricted)
